  When my wife and I moved from Ames we were coming from a great church and were debating commuting every Sunday from Ankeny to attend. We started to shop around for churches as many new couples do, and went to a couple that our friends suggested, but nothing really stuck or felt like home to us.
  
  We decided to give The Ridge a shot just on a whim, and the first Sunday we heard the pastor say, "we go through the whole bible even if it isn't the most popular thing to do" and that got our attention. But what sealed the deal for us, we attended a couple weeks in a row and before we were able to slip away to an exit, people stopped us, welcomed us and made a concerted effort to get to know who we were and listen to our story. This was life changing for us, and opened so many doors, we immediately got involved and started helping with the youth group, taking classes and eventually finding a small group of similar younger adults. God was working while we were searching and gave us such an amazing gift with this church

  After doing some church shopping around the metro, I stopped into Prairie Ridge Church one Sunday about 10 years ago. I was struck by the awesome music and a message that seemed to be just for Me! I knew right then and there, this would be my church home. I have never felt more connected to a church body, and Jesus Christ in my entire life. Thank you Ridge for all you do!!

  This a great church for our family. The youth programs have taught our kids so many great lessons. They even offer mission trips for youth (and adults) and serve our community, other states, and abroad.
  The other thing I like is that you can engage in the church as little or as much as you want. Sure it's a big church, but don't let its size intimidate you. If you want to really engage, there are lots of opportunities.
  Come as you are (shorts and flip flops), listen to the message, and the contemporary music ministry. Everyone is welcome at The Ridge!

  My husband and I have been attending The Ridge for about 5 years now and we would call this church home. We have felt nothing but welcomed and loved since we started coming. With a large amount of support groups, an amazing youth group and a variety of classes and volunteer opportunities; there's something for everyone in every season of life. Pastor Mike always shares a thought provoking message you can't help but take home with you. Prairie Ridge Church is our home and family.

  I was invited to this church by one of my coworkers who was going through some tough times. We both went together for months and just loved how the church is so Christ centered. I love the people, the teaching, the music, and the way they are involved with the community. The teaching is Bible focused, meaningful, and also very relevant/applicable to what we go through in life.
  If you are looking for a home church to grow and be involved in, you will fit right in with this one. God bless!
